Level Building Instructions for Assault

This is a guide for adding bases to levels designed for Assault. Assault has two types of objects that make up a base. Base objects, which are static (i.e. non-moving/firing), and defense objects, which will fire on enemy players in an attempt to defend the base. Assault uses a simple labeling system so it knows which objects belong to a base, what type of objects they are, and what team they belong to. Below is the object labeling system:

RBASE - Red base object
BBASE - Blue base object
RDEF - Red Defense structure
BDEF - Blue Defense structure

The labels are case sensitive.

The max number of base objects per team is 20, and the max number of defense objects is 30. These are subject to change if needed.

To label an object, simply select it in D3Edit, and under the object control panel, rename it. For multiple objects, enumerate them (e.g. RBASE1, RBASE2, etc).

Once the objects are labeled, Assault will do the rest.

That should do it. Thanks for taking interest in Assault!
