Ladder Anarchy
Descent 3 MOD by {WC}roncli

Ladder Anarchy is a twist on the regular anarchy game. When you join a Ladder Anarchy game, you start on the bottom of the ladder. As you kill players higher than you on the ladder, you will take their spot on the ladder and gain more points. When you're at the top of the ladder, you gain bonus points for each kill. Making a lot of kills at the top of the ladder and on high ranking players will keep you at the top of the scoreboard.

Installation
------------
Simply unzip into your /descent3/netgames folder and you're all set!

Changes to the HUD
------------------

In the upper right hand corner, your rank is displayed with your kills and deaths. If you see a 1 there, you're on top of the ladder.

On the right hand side is your score display. This defaults to ordering the names by score, but that player's rank will appear in front of their name as well.

Whenever a kill or a suicide is made, a message is displayed across the bottom of the screen, explaining the scoring for that kill.

In the F6 screen, you can now choose to order your HUD score list by score, efficiency, or ladder rank.

Rules
-----

Exactly the same as anarchy. Kill or be killed!

Scoring
-------

This is where strategy comes in to play.

- Each rung on the ladder has a value assigned to it. The bottom rung, which is where new players start, is worth one point. The next rung up is two points, etc. Therefore, the top player is worth a score equal to the number of players in the game.

- If you kill someone ranked lower than you, you receive one point. You must either be at the top of the ladder or kill someone ranked higher than you to get the big points!

- If you kill someone ranked higher than you, you receive the number of points equal to their value PLUS the difference between your ranks. If you were in a 6 player game, you were in 4th, and the person you killed was in 2nd, you would receive the player's value, 5, plus the difference in rank, 2, for a total of 7 points.

- If you are on the top of the ladder and kill someone, you receive the number of points equal to their value PLUS an automatically two point bonus.

That's all there is to it. As you can see, in games where there are 8 or more people, it's feasable to see four digit scores in a relatively short amount of time. Its best to try and hold the top of the ladder as long as you can, because that way you receive bonus points for every kill you make.
