Author Info: Everyone thinks that I am from Australia, but DwnUndr refers to caving. I have been caving in Virginia for many, many years. I also love four wheeling and game playing! Check out my previous work! * Canyon Siege.mn3 A Descent 3 level * Murder2.wad A Doom 1 level * Alcatraz.wad A Doom 1 level * Mad.zip (Mad Decorator) A Descent 1 level * BootHill.zip A Descent 1 level (when I was a Descent 1 Online beta tester..at 9600 Baud)! ...and many other in-house-only levels. I made all of the above levels under the handle Critical Edge on GEnie. I am also an "Official" Doom GURU! Since the making of The WET Spot, I have made a few more levels...Canyon Aftermath and Worlds Apart. Description: (version 1.1) March 7th, 2001 I fixed a bug that occured in the pond area of the blue base BBQ pit area. I deleted two of the four megas since it seemed there were always 20 of them in the level once the action got hot. And I balanced the weapons a little bit. The blue flag base is now more like the red base. As Animal pointed out to me, a Phoenix could swoop in and capture the blue flag and be gone in a few seconds. Now it is easier to defend the blue flag. I added a little bit more space to the red flag base area for dogfighting. Since the red base has lots of places for a flag bearer to hide, I added a similiar place in the blue base. Description: (version 1.0) This is my second Descent 3 level. It took me about two and a half weeks to build. It includes a few custom graphics and some sound changes. The biggest part was perfecting the underwater play. New tactics are in order now since most missiles won't work underwater! Capture the Flag should be a blast in here. Sixteen player starts, two bases and low polygon counts should give FAST gameplay! Please insure that you have FOG enabled for the best underwater effect (in game F2/DETAIL/FOG). This level is built for the following types of game play: Anarchy Team Anarchy Hyper-Anarchy CTF (Capture the Flag) Hoard This level contains the following (briefly): 71 objects 31 unique textures (including lights) 35 rooms 1872 faces 2 energy stations 1 red goal 1 blue goal 16 player starts ***BONUS*** I have made a tutorial to show all of you how to make your own underwater levels! Go to http://www.gameedit.com and download wettut.zip. It includes a text file as well as several .d3l's for you to look at. This tutorial is very lengthy and very thorough. Known bugs: Occasionally the Red Orb in Hyper-Anarchy will appear out of reach up in the sky. Patience is a virtue! The orb will relocate itself somewhere else automatically every 45 seconds until someone picks it up. And, YES!, you CAN reach the mega and health orb in the lava room! (From another passage).
