1:59 AM 6/8/00 The Long Run V 1.0 [A New Descent3 Anarchy/Hoard Level] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Designer: Nick E-Mail : nab@g-net.net (soon to be nab@nu-z.net) (lame name eh? stupid isp at work!) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Tools\ Utilities D3edit V 1.1 and V 1.1 BETA -Level Construction TruView -Load Screen Conversion Neopaint -Load Screen Mn3edit -Packaging Gamtool -Weapon Modification ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ * Thanks to * Otherone for D3edit Beta * Outrage for The Great and Mighty Descent3 * Thanks to the testers... * RazorTM * Maverick * Oasis * Schplurg +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ NOTES Anyone who wants to compile the CPP for Lynux may do so. I included the CPP in the MN3. Please send me an E-mail if you do compile it. Thanx! Remember, you must own a copy of the full retail version of Descent3(r) in order to play this extra Multiplayer Level. For additional information on how to purchase your very own copy of Descent3(r) please contact http://www.outrage.com/ or visit you local computer software retail store. Descent3(r) is a registered trademark ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BEFORE PLAYING: Note! The only weapon that was actually changed, was the concussion missle, it now goes a tad bit faster and has a larger blast radius (if you don't like this, blame Flacon :P ) I also added a kick to the fusion (which so many people complained about NOT having) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "HOW TO INSTALL" ---------------- Extract the level into your Descent3\missions Directory --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Level information * Single Player [ROBO] : No [No] Anarchy : Yes CTF : Yes Monsterball : No Entropy : No Hoard : Yes (recommended for you hoard lovers out there, ME!!) New Graphics : No New Models : No New Sounds : No New Code : Yes Base : new level from scratch Known Bugs/nonbugs : The switches i used doesn't have the return animation frames, and thusly, get stuck in their used condition, this isn't exactly a bug with the level, but a bug with the object itself, i had already lit the level before i found this out so it'll just have to stay. The script will still work fine but the switch won't move. Also, when you go outside, there will be a slight performance hit, it won't be much, but we all know how much outdoor's sucks up those 3D cards :( . The rest of the level, however, has great frametimes and rendercounts under 300 in some places, and never go above 600. Distribution : TLR may only be distributed in its current state and will be done so at NO CHARGE to the recipient, TLR may not be used or modified in any way without written permission from the author. I would like to request anyone who reviews TLR at their site to kindly inform me that they have done so. Thank you! Also, if you're really nice, add a link to my level on your site in the MN3, big thanx! This level may be distributed on any medium, such as, but not limited to, CDs, floppy disks, etc. in its current form. Property : The level is MINE MINE MINE :) The gameedit plugg was shameless! And Schplurg (the gameedit webmaster) said it was :) So, you have a shameless plug at the beginning of my level, besides, gameedit.com is the best d3 level site, we all know it is! Go visit there today! (i wasn't paid to do this... but some people like to be nice to special friends ;D ) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
