STONE TEMPLE PILOTS (ston tem-pul pi-luts) n: it's ancient, it's abandoned, and it's hell on wheels... a medium-sized, vertical level with something for everyone. Three duel rooms of varying size are connected by a series of claustrophobic tunnels that are just jousting size. Take note of the blue fog in the Pyramid Room... apparently the elders used it as some sort of safe-haven from weapons; however, they don't seem to have been prepared for the Vauss or the Mass Driver... BLACK SHARK WARNING: There is one... servers disable if you don't like them! NOTE TO SERVERS: Turn off HUD names off for best play! NOTE TO LOW-END SYSTEM USERS: If you experience low framerates, try disabling mirrored surfaces. DESIGNED BY: Valence (Phil Sevin) RELEASE DATE: 28 December 2000 GAMES SUPPORTED: Anarchy, CTF, Hoard, Monsterball (Entropy version coming soon!) D3EDIT VERSION: 1.1 (August 2000 by OtherOne); verified flawless. THANKS TO: - D3 Programming Team - Gwar - Planet Descent's CDC - http://tricordnet.com/cdc/ - Zappafan - www.wildcards.org/zappafan/main.html - Ryujin's Descent 3 Community - http://www.d3community.com/ - www.gameedit.com - www.descent3d.com - Garner_1 - for serious D3Edit help - www.descentbb.net (for helping me find Garner_1, ha ha) - Starkiller (for the excellent spew tutorial at www.gameedit.com/starkiller/tut/spew/spew.htm) - {OSS}Realm (who found, at one point, that you could shoot stone pillars from your ship [ACK!]) - [RIP]DwnUndr (who helped me track down a particular pain in the glass, ha ha) PLAYTESTERS: - {OSS}Realm - [RIP]DwnUndr - [RIP]Shark - crusader^bots - wheels10k - OneFineDay - Alice - KILLSU2 - MOB-Bakdraft - Neon - [RS]Slowguy KNOWN ISSUES: Though this didn't happen on my test system, there's a slight chance this level may crash a dedicated server when time limit restarting, with an 'UNABLE TO PAGE IN PYRAMID.OOF' error. Placing the included PYRAMID.OOF into the D3 root folder resolves this issue (Schplurg and Starkiller found that fix!) FINE PRINT: Please include this text file in any redistribution.
