=========================================================================== Title : Wolf Pack 2 (5 levels) File Name : wolfpak2.hog Date Finished : 9/12/98 Author : WOLF Description : 5 Deathmatch levels with a neat twist! Notes : ALL levels are anarchy, team anarchy, robo anarchy, ctf, hoard, and team hoard compatible. Level 1: Riverbed Gorge/ I mainly did my usual three-level design. (Three fighting levels with multiple passageways linking each) The middle level consists of a big water room with amazing design with the blue and red goals tucked away under a low ceiling. The tope floor is mainly a through route where players meet when getting away from the action to collect health and ammo. The bottom level is where the reactor rests and is mainly a sub-room where less than half the battles take place. (Meant for 6 or more players) Level 2: Magma Caverns/ Again, I used the three- level scheme. The middle floor is the big arena which (I figure) most of the fighting will take place. The wide open space of the middle level should be perfect for dogfights. The top floor is there for a breather from the action and an area to look at the map and see where everyone is. The bottom level is where the reactor sits and is again, another sub-room. (Meant for 8 players) Level 3: Frost Gulge/ This is another three- level setup, however this time, I added a outer ring to the level for more depth. The middle floor is where the reactor is, which is a change of pace from the last two levels where the reactor was on the lower level. The top level is where half of the fights might take place, pretty good for dogfights. The lower level is mainly for hiding and sniping at other players in the darkness. Retreat to the outer ring for more health and ammo. (Meant for 6 to more players) Level 4: Hellground Bore/ This level does not mold of the past three levels. But like the last level, this one has an outer ring where you can retreat to and gather health and ammo. The center arena is consisting of two big rooms connected by a small area. Within this small area where the exit is located as well as the passageway leading to the reactor room which is in the shape of a cross (albiet a screwed up looking cross). (Meant for 8 players) Level 5: Nitrogen Storage Tanks/ This level is neat for its unique and original design. It consists a the two-level scheme but is quite different. The top level is where the miniture storage tanks are held. The middle floor is the main fighting arena. Connecting these areas are more larger storage tanks. Its quite hard to explain but it is a great level! (Meant for 6 or more players) NOTE: Now these level are meant for 6 players or above, I tested these levels out with only two and found that they were easily playable and the other player could be found within a minute. MORE NOTES: I decided to make a level pack full of quality driven deathmatch levels so people could get off Minerva (no offense to the author of that level, but after awhile, that level gets quite boring). I didn't want to make a Minvera clone so I carefully planned out these levels. For my experience as a level builder, I built Wolfpack (1) and Wolfzand. I recieved some good comments on them. However, those were made for 2 to 4 players (even though it could hold 8). So I made these levels with the 8 player theme in mind. I do hope you enjoy these levels as much as I have making them! WOLF =========================================================================== Levels : 5 Single Player : no Cooperative : no Anarchy : Yes! Team Anarchy : Yes! Robo Anarchy : Yes! Capture The Flag : Yes! Hoard : Yes! Team Hoard : Yes! Base : Made from scratch Editors used : DMB2 level editor Known Bugs : No bugs in the first five levels. In level 6 however, due to the inconsistances within the Descent II Engine, the central structure and suspended bridges in the main room have a tendancy to disappear somewhat allowing you to see the other side. This can be helpful at times. :) NOTE: Due to the complexity of some parts in these levels, it might cause some slow down and will probably affect the gameplay. So, I suggest that you use a Pentium with MMX support or a P233 or higher. A good modem connection would also help. But so far, the only computers I found that couldn't handle these levels good enough is a 486 (or below). Authors MAY NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels. You MAY distribute this HOG, provided you include this file, with no modifications.
