(Please place this file in \DESCENT2\LEVELS subdirectory) Level Name: "Mr. Dob's Tubeway" Files: TUBEWAY.HOG, TUBEWAY.MN2, TUBEWAY.TXT (This document) Used: Descent Mission Builder II Build Time: Approximately 40 hours (Dec 19-25, 1996) Requires Descent II ver. 1.2 Patch Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced Single Player: Definitely Coop: Next version if there is demand (let me know) Anarchy: No Flag: No Comments: This level is my second effort on building a "serious" mine with DMB2. (See Mr. Dob's No Fate, located at Pooterman's, for my first effort.) This is a *very* nasty level, both in terms of complexity and preponderance of bots, and is definitely not for the weak. The firefights begin in earnest right from jump, so be prepared to kill or be killed. For better or worse, unlike my previous effort, this mine includes a #$%# Thiefbot and the dubiously helpful Guidebot. Look for lots of secret switches, one-way triggers and shortcut tunnels. Also, there are many walls which open when triggered. Listen carefully for walls which open behind you. This level will almost certainly take at least one of your levels (if not two). The amount/difficulty of bots may have to be modified to enhance playability (and to reduce frustration!). Hints: I've tried to make this level challenging but winnable. BTW, I *barely* made it to the exit on Hotshot (post-countdown) -- and I designed the darned thing!
