Play modes: ----------- CTF Team Anarchy Anarchy Team Instareap Instareap Additions for Facing Worlds 1.1 -------------------------------- * All known texture bugs have been corrected. Level will not however function on Mac/Linux systems. Port possibly on its way. * Altered/Reduced some lighting. Unused Corona's have been deleted. * Flag rooms have been changed. They are no longer a part of the structure, and are accessible only through a portal in the same room. * Extreme damage has been removed from the walls. Private games will still have volatile walls. * Extended the distance around the side of each base, and the height. * Extra antenna added for spice. * Fog display error corrected in the hell pit. * Player start rooms altered. You will have about 2-3 seconds before forced exit from the area. * Small thrust added to one-way exit/s. This will prevent campers from attempting to hide and/or snipe from here. * Small powerup alcove added beneath each Pyramid. You can access these without damage if your very careful. (1 Mega, 1 Shield, 2 Vauss clip) * Miscellaneous textures and areas modified. What was not added that may have been: * Middle hill and structure. (framerate) * Extension of the distance between each base. (again, framerate issue) Overview: --------- Based on the concept "Facing Worlds" from Unreal Tournament. This level has been reproduced in several games since it's original outing, and after reading a thread on PlanetDescent, now I've decided to make my own. It took only a matter of four days to complete since the idea - And has turned out to be a real machine-monster! Anyway, on with the level. Facing Worlds is a medium-CTF map with both teams facing each other directly via large structures. Designed for anywhere around four to twelve players. Anymore than that, and I would expect gameplay performance decreasing. You WILL need a system that can handle an outdoor environment all the time. Although there isn't actually any terrain, the rendering information on screen at one time is around the same due to the large buildings present in the level. This level features custom textures as previously seen in my level "Theben Sedes", and also it includes the modified Black Shark from Theben, which will enter it into gameplay more often. WARNING: Avoid contact with the Void, or the area below the base. Thanks to Beta Testers [NuB]DigiJo, [HK]Samus and Ixion. Thanks to 1.1 Testers: Suicide Eddie, [CU]Dynasty Enjoy! Hints & Tips -------------------- * Avoid the area immediately below the base/s. You'll catch on fire if your not careful. * Avoid contact with the outside environment (known as the Void in UT). This will also damage you ! It won't hurt, just make you very dead. * Remember to use the portals in the flag-rooms. These are for quick exits ! * Defend your base ! Take position from up to three sniping positions. * See the floating platform? This has powerups on it - Get them to increase your load ! * 1.1 only: Sneak under the small Pyramids for extra powerups !
