NOTE: THIS LEVEL WILL NOT WIN ANY CONTESTS FOR FRAMERATES OR LOW # of CUBES! IT WAS BUILT ON a P300 and is slightly ahead of its time for the average CPU clock! I had to use Lots of cubes to get the HIGH RESOLUTION BACKROUNDS! TEXAS 8 INCLUDES A CUSTOM COCKIPT CUSTOM EARTHSHAKER MISSLES AND CUSTOM HELIX EVEN WEAPONS FIRING EFFECTS! (640x480 HIGH RES MODE ONLY) THE CONCEPT:Take The PyroPilot Out Of The Dark Desolate Mines And Into A Virtual Outdoor Enviroment.(Like Texas Itself LARGE Wide open spaces) THE THEME: Texas Gunfight (The Alamo, Houston, Dallas and Austin) PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: 1) This is my First attempt at level building. 2) This Level was Designed for 6-8 Player Net Games. There are 189 Custom Textures and 886 Cubes. (900 Cubes is the Maximum D2 Mine Size) 3) It Was Built & Tested On A Pentium II-300mhz with 3D Video Card & 64 Mb Ram. SORRY, DUE TO THE INTENSE BACKROUND TEXTURES ANYONE WITH A SLOW MACHINE AND/OR OLDER VIDEO CARD MAY EXPERIENCE CHOPPY GAME PLAY.(use the "-" Key to improve performance or change the Screen Resolution to 320x240) The 640x480 Screen Mode Is the Best (If You Have A Fast PC and Video Card). 4) There are many secret areas,invisible walls and the switches are WELL HIDDEN! I Tried to make it a challenge. Those of you who get stumped can use the FULL MAP cheat code ROCKRGRL.(The really good weapons are not easily accessed) 5) THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION !
