DarkMoon version 1.0 The level name will be moon2 when extracted, but the name of the mine is DarkMoon in the menu. Copyright(c) Ron Lester ( TrueLightGuild@aol.com )Free to distribute Single level play only e.g. ver1.0 special note: This level has a few custom textures, and when restoring a saved game, be sure that you have the level started before you restore a saved game. I noticed that when it was restored from the main menu alone, that the custom textures did not show up. I don't think this is any bug in the level. I am still trying to find the reason for this happening. As long as the level is started, then the game will restore properly. also, like IceWorld, If you run out of guided missles before you get to certain goals, then you are doomed, and will need to start again. It would be a good idea to collect as many guided missles as you can, and save them. Also save your game before you use them. There are some very tricky shots. Also, you will need to make sure you have your hud set for viewing the path of the guided missle; impossible to shoot target without it. This level is based upon the idea that IceWorld was discovered on the other side of jupiter in the latter ages of mankind, and that because of its location, and its orbit around the sun, it was never discovered until man set foot on the moons of jupiter. DarkMoon is a moon of IceWorld. This is the location of one of our best prisons. There is a mine located there also. Guidebot: The guidebot is very useful in some cases; he will take you right to the goal. In other cases , he will take you near the goal. In some cases he will not know where the goal is at, because it would be too easy to finish this level. I am not perfect with the guidebot yet, but getting better. I never did use the guy but a few times, when I played the first D3 levels. He can slow you up in some cases. Note: Once again I would like to thank Charles "Stormcrow" Featherer for his tutorial on terrain. I didn't have a clue how to do that until I found it. Thanks to starkiller for his scripting advice. Thanks to schplurg for his patients Thanks to Garner_1 and to Wolf for their help on the BB Thanks to Nick for advice from time to time. Thanks to otherone for the better editor. Note: since I will be tied up for a while on other things , I will not have time to make any more levels for a while. It would be nice to have a Saturn sky, with a space station to teleport back and forth to. Oh well, hope this level is fun. Ron Lester
