I created this in notepad maximized so its best viewed that way... \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ Why I made these levels \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -when I got d2 the first level I downloaded was minerva2 -"hey this is gonna be better than d1 minerva!!" -and I thought it was better... -until me and some friends played anarchy init =( -"hey I cant see anybody?!?!".... we were frustrated -so we got minerva2.1 ...... grrrr even wilder textures and darker! -most ppl say its fine and that 'not seeing ppl' is an advantage -ok whatever tickles your pickle....play minerva2 =) -however my ctx monitor is pitch black and its superHard to see -so I converted d1 minerva to d2 and created a version for us to play -textures were still wild tho... d2 has no brick texture =( like d1 minerva -one thing led 2 another and whammo!! here it is!! a whole set of levels that we play alot! -budz keep naggin me to 'officially' release these levels so I guess I will (u dorkmuffins=)... but with hesitation... -dont ask me to change any existing levels anymore!! its alot harder than just makin'em from scratch from now on im solo _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ DESCRIPTIONS _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ All Levels \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ the reactor is hard to kill the reactor cube has water on the outer of each side but from the inside its an illusion wall so the reactor can shoot out easily but u have to shoot thru water to kill it ;) hint: use gauss or vulcan note to level makers: this causes 4 warnings in the level compile but what the hay -the 'megaBox' from minerva has been replaced by an i-beam snyper cage (we still call it the megaBox tho=) -a new top-level corridor has been added to allow access to the megaBox -a new underTunnel has been added the 2 tunnels crissKross in the middle where there is an energy station there... -I feel that energy should be easily accessable so there are 5 energy stations in the path of flight -the reactor room has been changed to the lavaBox there is a new tunnel in there that leads to a new addition (the waterbox) -the 2 original energy stations were removed to allow for faster play, now all the energy stations are in the line of flight -a new tunnel added to allow access to the waterBox -the waterBox is where the reactor and exit are located... download secrets.dem demo if u cant find the reactor note: secrets.dem runs off of the level 'MinervO Nite' with filenames: minervon.hog and minervon.mn2 -new grates! the ole grates were hard to shoot thru from the top level so I changed them to rails instead ;) -none of these levels contain invuls! -level names in the pick list are in funky ascii and spring in and out when u highlight them ;) wierd eh? hehe -all levels are flag/hoard playable with the goals moved to out of the way places (cuz in hoard the goals were in the flight path ack! u need them out of the way sose u wont axidentally fly into them with one orb) hehe -did u know that minerva2 and 2.1 dont have homers?? welp I added some (block them out if u dont want them) \_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ MinervO \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -filenames: minervo.hog and minervo.mn2 -levelName: ///\/\|I\|ER\/() -abreviation: mo -this is your basic minervo with nearly the same weapons as minerva2... except smart mines! NO SMINES! hehe -there was a fight over including proxBombs so they are included but we do block them out alot when we play... u can just do the same \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ MinervO Pro \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -filenames: minervop.hog and minervop.mn2 -levelName: ///\/\()P -abreviation: mop -same as MinervO except fast weapons were removed (gauss/vulcan/mercs) and no proxBombs (we got tired of blocking them out every game=) plus blocking stuff out leaves shields in thier place... that sux! \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ MinervO Nite \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -filenames: minervon.hog and minervon.mn2 -levelName: ///\/\()I\| -abreviation: mon -its dark! no lights... (not too dark tho and ships are bright) we have a blast playin this level... literally! ;) one of the funnest levels ive ever played/made! -we wanted a fun/sneaky minervo so this is it! it features the phoenix but the omega and fusion are also fun in the dark ;) not to mention guided, smart and flash missles -fast weapons tend to dominate a game example: if u have the gauss... u kill, if not... u are killed so fast weapons were not included (gauss/vulcan/mercs) the phoenix is this level's master ;) on purpose -also to increase the skill factor these were not included: spreadFire,proxBombs,megas,cloaks,invuls,helix,shieldConverters, ammoRax,headlights,sMines,and shakers -as always u can also block out what u dont want when u play (sometimes we block out the guided missles in this level) -three demos were made from this level: flares.dem -neat/funny/stupid things to do with flares that we discovered.. try them! hehe phoenix.dem -neat/funny/stupid trix to do with the phoenix secrets.dem -shows the secrets of the level (this one took awhile to get right in one take) grrrrrrrrrr \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ MinervO Xtreme \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -filenames: minervox.hog and minervox.mn2 -levelName: ///\/\()>< -abreviation: mox -there are a couple of us who like shakers/megas ( SloMo =Þ ) so I created a version with all weapons and powerups -this level is absolutely chaotic with lots of players! cuz its soooo small and has soooo much stuff... its fun! not much skill involved tho =\ just block out what u dont want we block out sMines and proxBombs alot -hey! there are a alot of things this level duznt have tho!: xtraLife,gold/blue/red keys =Þ,fullMap hehe,invuls, and headlights... see I told ya ;) -the inaccessable shaker is accessable in this level \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ \_ MinervO Bots \_ \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ -filenames: minervob.hog and minervob.mn2 -levelName: ///\/\()|3 -abreviation: mob -tunz! of robots for coOp/single play -tunz! of robot makers to make u happy -ripped out the reactor and made a huge/funky water room for the level boss -this level is hard... i know that was my intent... cuz when u got 4 ppl on lan playin coOp it would be an easy level no? _/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ STATS _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/ EditorsUsed -DMB 2.6 for textures, new cubes, and object placement ----------- -Devil 2.2k for lighting TimeSpent -to change all the textures and add the new cubes --------- took weeks (off and on) but after that it was alot easier doing lighting and adding objects Types -Anarchy 3 to 8 players: ----- all will work -Single play: all are single/normal play but would be boring except for MinervO Bots -CoOp 2 or more players: all are coop compatible but the only one that has robots is MinervO Bots -Robot Anarchy: the only one with robots is MinervO Bots! hehe -Flag/Hoard 2 or more players: all are flag/hoard playable _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ DISTRIBUTION _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -if u offer/distribute any of these levels please include the following: .hog file, .mn2 file, and minervo.txt thanx bunches!! when I offer files I always include the txt if I have it =\ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ SPECIAL THANX 2 _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -Spaz for creating my 3 favorite levels (minerva,nysa,tribute) minervo levels were created from Spaz's original d1 minerva so if u want to praise... praise Zaps cuz he is the level makin Guru... me just tiny grasshoppa... =\ -Bryan Brainware Aamot for creating dmb2.6 (mr. micro-programmer;) -Achim Stremplat for creating devil2.2k (nice lighting;) -Parallax of course for creating a modular game that we can fiddle wiff -SloMo and the rest of Obelisk Productions (good games;) thanx for helpin me find and fix the bugs and lettin me kill u alot hehe _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ FINAL NOTES _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -I am a computer science major therefore I am sorry for the damage done 2 your eyes due 2 incorrect grammar and/or misspellingz -personal info email = mux@insolwwb.net (any questions just mail me=) website = muxdescent.home.ml.org (fast site with levels we play) www.insolwwb.net/~mux/descent/index.html -I am a proud member of Obelisk Productions HOCKALUGY ITS TIME TO PLAY!!!!!
