CALLISTO I by Jeremy Stanley
Created with: Devil 2.1f Target platform: Descent II This is my first complete level for Descent II. That is, I started it first. I worked on several others before I completed this one. I learned a lot about the level editor when I made this one. In the earliest parts of the level (central ring and low-ceilinged red area), I did the lighting manually (this was before I discovered Devil's "mine illuminating" option), and I have left it how it is because I think it looks better than the way Devil ends up doing it. I had some fun with switching walls in this level. Yes, it is possible to get the Earthshaker behind the force field, but it will require a bit of teamwork. :) It is also possible to snatch the Omega Cannon, but the switch is not where you think it is. There is a tunnel which leads to the mega missile behind the grating in the central room. The walls in front of the helix cannon and ammo rack are triggered by motion sensors elsewhere in the mine.
