M a y h e m S t a t i o N ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Jay "idiOt" Hoeberechts (v1.0) Mayhem StatioN is a tiny, incredibly fast multiplayer level for Descent 2. I kept the cube count low (the whole level only has 99 cubes!) and there is no spot on the map that has less than 2 ways to get out. The only doors are for the start locations, so this level never stops moving. Note: This level uses custom textures, so run it on D2 v1.2 if possible. Otherwise some areas may look funny. Anarchy/Hoard (hoard makes for a generally faster-moving game) NOT invulnerable when you die & restart Nothing disabled (he he he he he!) "The Slick Dogfighter's" 2-4 players Bright player ships (UNcheck the box!) Team/Flag/Hoard (team/flag reccomended) NOT invulnerable when you die & restart Earthshakers, smarts, homers, and guideds disabled "Chaos Light" (this one's the most fun) 3-6 players Bright player ships (UNcheck the box!) Anarchy/Team/Flag/Hoard (team/flag reccomended) NOT invulnerable when you die & restart Earthshakers disabled REVISION HISTORY: v0.9* First alpha version v0.9a* Added all those funky powerups v0.9b First beta version Textured the level - It was all "rock021" before this version Modem tested the level Added more powerups v0.9c* Added a reactor Increased the brightness of all textures to 100% Increased the brightness of all cubes to 100% - Level now looks great! v0.9d* Added an exit to go with the reactor :) Redid some of the textures - Level looks even better! v0.9e* Fixed some texture alignment problems Added a REVISION HISTORY to this .txt :) Changed a few of the powerups v1.0 Changed most of the powerups back Fixed more texture alignment problems Added custom screen backdrops - Reduce your screen size! Planned for v1.0a* Fixing the blasted dissapearing powerup bug in multiplay! Optimize the back of the Outer Rim Corridor... Perhaps? Fix the rest of the misaligned textures * This version of the level has not been released KNOWN PROBLEMS: > Various weapons sometimes vanish in multiplayer (never had the flags go, though)* > Autoleveling may go awry in the Armoury (but who uses autoleveling, anyway?!) > I forgot to optimize the back of the Outer Rim Corridor > Still more texture alignment problems * If anyone could find what's causing this, PLEEEEAASE EMail me and tell me what the hell it is!!!
