All of my levels were created as multi-player missions and work for anarchy, capture the flag, or hoard. NOTE:*** NONE OF MY LEVELS HAVE ANY HELIX CANNONS OR PHONIX CANNONS!!!! Joftinac's current list of Descent ][ levels as of 7-19-97: Jofty's Cave ------------ This level rocks! check it out at http://www.lvdi.net/~joftinac/joftyscave.html Crossfire!! crosfire.hog/mn2 6-7-97 1:00PM ----------- Recommended Players 2-5 Crossfire!! has a system of "automatic" doors that make sneaking around a little more difficult in certain areas of the level. The goals are behind locked doors that can only be opened from the inside, or by triggers placed off of the center column - activated by flying towards the goals from the center areas. This level has one Shaker and one Mega missle, placed under the waterfall. If you so wish, shoot the control panel hidden behind the missles and you can lock the missles in for the whole game. Or, if you would like to let them out, have someone wait at the top of the level by a locked door hidden in one of the side tunnels. When the panel behind the missles is shot, that door will open, exposing another control panel. If you hit that panel, it unlocks another hidden door in the tunnel on the other side of the room. Inside that door, you'll find the control panel that removes the wall in front of the big missles, and you're ready to rock. Anyway, as long as no one is waiting by the first locked door when you hit the panel behind the missles, you'll lock 'em in for good, because you only get one panel. And it takes two people cooperating to let them out. Lucky 7s 4-11-97 11:47am --------- Recommended Players 2-5 This level is small enough for 1 on 1 and works really well for Ladder Matches or other types of matches. It's also set up very well for Hoard and Flag, but it works awesome for anarchy too. This is the only level I've made so far that I think is worthy of entering in the Interplay D2 levels contest, so vote for me, PLEASE! heheh 8^)-~ Here's the weapons breakdown: Quad = 2 S. Laz = 4 Burn = 6 Plasma = 2 Gauss = 2 Ammo = 6 Rack = 2 Fusion = 1 Omega = 1 SMines = 1 Homing = 20 Merc = 20 Smart = 4 Throne Room 4-1-97 (STILL ßeta Testing) ----------- Reccommended Players 2-6 This is my best attempt so far at making a quick dogfight level like Minerva that will work for 1 on 1 and support a good 5 or 6 player brawl. These are not in the level: Cloak, Invuln, Shaker, Mega, Prox Bomb, Guided Missle, Headlight, Converter Lost in Space 3-31-97 (STILL ßeta Testing) ------------- Reccommended Players 3-8 This level looks a lot like a Borg ship. It's great for Hoard, Flag, or Anarchy! There are none of these in the level: Earth Shaker, Omega Cannon, Smart Mine, Prox Bomb, Invuln, Cloak, Converter, Headlight, Guided Missle Outpost 3-15-97 03:25 ------- Reccommended Players 2-8 The Outpost works best for a 4 player Flag game (there are two flags of each colour, so two players can plag a good flag game too), but will work for anarchy just as well with 4 or more players. This is a watered down version of Outpost Alpha. It's a lot smaller, but still a little too big for two anarchy. Weapon List: # In Mine type Mercury Missles 2 4 Pack Afterburner 4 Burn Gauss 2 Gun Super Lazer 8 2-Part Gun Quad Lazer 2 Gun Enhance Mega Missle 1 Big Missle Plazma Cannon 2 Gun Phonex Cannon 1 Nasty Gun Headlight 1 Cheezy Power-Up Flash Missle 1 4 Pack Smart Mine 1 4 Pack Homing Missle 4 4 Pack Spreadfire Cannon 2 Gun Cloaking Device 1 Cloak Vulcan Ammo 6 Ammo Ammo Rack 2 Ammo Rack Vulcan Cannon 2 Gun Earthshaker 1 Really Big Missle Fusion Cannon 1 Gun None of these are in the mine: Helix Cannon, Invulnerability, Omega Cannon Outpost Alpha ------------- outalpha.zip Reccommended Players: 6-8 This level looks like a space station. The design is simple, but you'll find that it works really well. The textures _should_ all be correct and aligned and all that stuff. There is a really cool lighting effect in the "Red Expressway" that I am especially proud of. Funny Cube Thingy *** This was my FIRST level, so please forgive any texture problems :-) ----------------- bigcube.zip Reccommended Players: 4-8 This level really doesn't have an up or a down or a left or a right. It's built the way that Descent levels, imho, really should be. There are a couple little robots, but they're of no concern. There are some cool lighting and texture effects and such. To orient yourself when flying through the Funny Cube, just follow the wall textures - they will lead you to the section of the level matching the texture you follow. *************************************************************************************** Feel free to make any changes or additions to my levels that you think might be interesting, just remember to call it something else and send me a copy! Also, if you do make any changes, or have any ideas for improvements, or just want to tell me about your last battle in one of my levels, feel free to send me e-mail to joftinac@lvdi.net or visit my nifty home page and see all my favorite D2 Levels at http://www.lvdi.net/~joftinac Most of all, Enjoy! and let me know what you think! Disclaimer: Feel free to distribute any and all of my UNMODIFIED levels via any media you choose. Please make sure that joftinac.txt is included in the .ZIP files if you zip the levels.
