The Fortress II by Spaz This is by far the largest level I have ever built. It took a solid two days combined to design and build. This level was designed specifically for team flag and hoard games in mind. There are several features you MUST know in order to get the maximum fun out of this level. This is level is based on the premise that your teams flag is in your castle. Your teams objective is to guard your flag from being stolen and taken back to base for points. In order to protect yourself and your flag from the other team this level is built with triggers implemented so that you may lock your castle and have it totally sealed from any intruders. Each castle has a centrally located and isolated balcony where the "keys" are located. There are two cubes at each side of each balcony. These "keys", as well as EVERY SINGLE TRIGGER THAT AFFECTS THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE FORCE FIELDS IS FRAMED BY THE GREEN ANIMATED TEXTURE BAR. Seeing this bar will inform you that you are passing through a trigger that either opens or closes all the corresponding castles force fields. The balcony cubes that are framed by this texture bar are a set of two cubes at each side of each balcony. When you are located in your balcony you should have a good view of your main "gate" or force field. To close this gate simply slide sideways into the lowest cube, below the green stripe. Then go look at your main gate and when it is closed it will indicate that ALL your castle gates are closed and are NOT capable of being opened unless an oppenent makes it far enough into the entryway of your castle to trigger the switches to open the gates. Each castle is fitted with a set of triggers immediately outside of each balcony as well as elsewhere. So if you are a wise team player and assign a "gatekeeper" then this player will know that someone is attempting to break into the castle when seeing the main gate in view open. To close it simply slide into one of the side cubes located on the balcony. To open the gates and let a teammate in slide into the cube that you use to close the cubes then slide slightly upward into the smaller, half-sized cube and the gates will open. Be careful though, if someone is playing good offense they will wear the gatekeeper located on the balcony down with guided missiles or simply get in his face and fire at him through the grates to back him away from the keys.... while a teammate goes in for the flag. After goals are scored look for the flag in your castle for an easy couple of points, but if you don't see it then it is time to go hunting. I built this level on my P90 and it runs pretty well. I am beginning to push the limits of my cube count maximum due to the fact that most people now have faster machines or 3d cards that will speed the frame rate way up. But needless to say... this level runs fine on my P90 and should only get slightly choppy in a couple of places in a multiplayer game on the same speed machine or slower. I hope you have fun... this level was a pain to make.... but it should be a TOTAL blast for hoard and flag. Thanks to all you goofs who play my levels out there... and a special thanks to the AtLANta crew.... especially Kiln, JackHammer, and Zeppelin for all the help with checking my levels and playtesting them.... not to mention for just being cool. Thanks. Take care.... and remember.... have fun, ok? I LOVE JENNIFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
