*Descent 2 Add-On Mission* Release date: 10/25 =Eon Level 7 (Alternate Zero)= =Description= The Eon levels are designed to work best in flag play mode and especially in team flag games. There will be a total of 8 levels when the series is complete, all of which will be of the highest quality. The first four levels will allow any number of players to participate, with teams being a bonus and playing with them will certainly be advised but not required for flag games. The last four will require teamwork in order to score the flag. That is, it will be impossible (or next to it) to score without a teammate to work with. The final compilation, Eon X, will include all 8 levels in one HOG as well as a new MIDI soundtrack for those who are interested. *Alternate Zero* This level is designed for TEAM flag play. If you don't have 4 or more players, then you're best off not playing this level in flag mode as it is extremely difficult to score without the cooperation of an enemy. Scoring is, as always, fairly simple. Just shoot the grated door at the bottom of the central narrow lava fall and have one teammate enter from the other side. Since the door closes again automatically, you'll obviously need two players to accomplish this. It is also possible to pass the flag through the hole at the top of the tube, but it's too small for a ship to pass through. In case you don't read the manual, use Alt-0. You can use a marker to prop the door open if EVERYONE agrees to play that way, but it becomes less exciting to play (but it will allow you to play two player flag if you need to). So it's possible to play two player, but this level is definitely great for four or more. =Author= My name is Luke Schneider. I've made such other D2 level series as Havoc X, Xracer, and the ever-popular Crazy X. I used Devil 1.02 and 2.1g for the creation of this level. Email me at last@uci.edu. Special thanks to Googer for the great ideas, helping me test these levels, and for hosting my D2 levels. =Web Sites= The Devil Tutorial http://www.ladder.org/devtut/ddr/ The X-Levels (Home of these levels) http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~legowski/descent/x-levels/ Descent Levels and Other Oddities (D1 levels and other things) http://www.ics.uci.edu/~lschneid/descent.html =Legal Ramblings= This level is the sole property of Luke Schneider, but please feel free to distribute as widely as you will. You may not use this level as base for any other levels, and no commercial sale of this level is permitted.
