#300baud 3Teams set - a D3 mission from 300baud Productions (Version 1.0) Completion Date: June August 10, 2000 Project Lead: Sirian Designers: Sirian, Karash, donut Editor: D3edit version 0.92 Mission Statement: To produce a definitive, precedent-setting mission of levels optimized for three-team play with all three-team-capable mods, with a target game size of twelve players (four per team) and supporting between six and twenty-four total players. Mission Parameters: No Black Sharks. No Invulnerability. No Lag-inducing Tertiaries (Chaff, Bettys, Seekers, Proxmines). All levels compatible with the Guardian mod in Advanced mode. All levels optimized for weapon respawn times between 20 and 40 seconds (depending on the size of the game). All levels compartmentalized as much as possible, to reduce lag and allow for larger games (Vis). All levels textured and lit professionally. All levels free of any shell errors. Minimum 24 total start points per level. Each level to feature one or more primaries and/or secondaries by making plenty of them available. Each level to leave out one or more primaries and/or secondaries to create a variety of tactical situations and gameplay flavors throughout the mission set. Each level to vary the defensibility of goal rooms to further a variety of tactical situations and gameplay flavors throughout the mission set. All level scripts to be compiled for Linux as well as Windows to provide script functionality on any PXO dedicated servers, rather than only some of them. 3B3T is: Level One: "Face Off" by Sirian Level Two: "Higera" by Karash Level Three: "Triple Axle" by Sirian Level Four: "Divided by Three" by Sirian Level Five: "Deep Mining Colony" by Sirian Level Six: "Ore Processing" by donut Load Screens - by Sirian and Karash Documents - by Sirian Contents of file "3b3t.zip" include: 3b3t.mn3 (the mission) 3b3t.txt (this file) 3b3t-level-stats.doc (comparative level info) 3b3t-designers-notes.doc (commentary from the designers) 3b3t-server-guide.doc (recommendations for dedicated server operation) 300baud Productions Design Team founded by Sirian and Karash Hosted by Karash at http://karash.warpcore.org/300baud.html Contact Us:

You may distribute this mission set freely over any electronic medium, so long as you include this text file and all accompanying documents listed above, and so long as you do not charge any fees for access; you may not "sell" the mission as part of any for-profit venture. Mission History: 3B3T was initially going to contain nine levels (the six included, plus a 3-team version of Iron Maiden and two more all-new levels), but due to time constraints and other factors, we allowed the mission to languish unfinished. Though the scope of this mission pack was scaled back a bit from what we originally planned, the quality level was not compromised. These levels should be everything you'd expect from the design team who brought you the definitive Entropy mission pack: 3BE. Playtesting was conducted to ensure playability for up to FIFTEEN total players, on each level. We hope that you enjoy this mission for months, if not years, to come. Appreciation: Thanks to Matt "SolidAir" Schaller, who scripted the steam for Higera. Thanks to donut for compiling the Linux version of the script. Thanks to the Archive sites that are hosting this mission for autodownload in-game. Thanks to all our beta testers and everyone who supported the making of this mission. Special Thanks to Chris Ledwith (Gwar), for agreeing to code the Guardian mod, for which this mission pack has been optimized, as well adding tons of cool features to D3edit without which this mission could not have been made.
