"IAT" By Nightmare of [RIP] Clan AKA CplusX2 AKA David Greaves Email security@newyorkstaterocks.com "IAT" was specifically designed for Team games like CTF. It is a Large Level with 16 Safe player starts, all located near weapons pickups. The Blue base is a mirror image of the Red Base. A Flag run can be accomplished in less time then it takes for a Cloaking Power up to wear off. I scaled the mine down to increase speed of play, so despite its size, this map should play fast and give up high scores. ************************************************************************ ATTENTION SERVER OPS: -1- Set your weapon spawn times to taste, this level has several power ups provided though they are spread out. -2- I have included a cloaking power up, if you don't like them remember to disallow them! ************************************************************************ Just a few stats on the Mine: There are 41 unique 128x128 textures (including lights) in this level. Including one custom fly thru texture and a few other custome texture made with Adobe Photo Shop, Xnview, and Neo paint. Because I just could not live with Palm leaf! (Yuck) "IAT" contains two bases (Red and Blue) and is compatible with: Anarchy, Team Anarchy, CTF, Insta Reap, and Team Insta Reap,etc... There are 36 Rooms with a total of 7157 Faces. The Face count is rather high, however it averages to 199 faces per Room. Heheh. ************************************************************************** Snippet from the creator: This level was begun on 06-22-03 and finally finished on 09-27-03. The scope of the project changed considerably during the process as I kept on learning new techniques along the way, from several kind Level designers and several well-written Tutorials. This Level took me so long I already have Ideas for my next two Levels, Heheh. I have at least 15 pages of graph paper covered in notes and rough sketches and half as many note book sheets with scribbles on them too. You can find examples of Lathing, bending, wind, fog, complex and simple extruding, a custom texture, and creative lighting using objects and faces. My favorite items in the mine are actually my TVs. I wish I owned that many in real life! Playability: I am not completely happy with the bridge section. It appears to play a little lossy there. The fact that the wind tunnel does not actually begin until after you fly past the blue striped arrows adds to the illusion of lag as well. I will consider the issues I have come accross in my first level when designing my future levels.
