Crossfire!! crosfire.hog/mn2 6-7-97 1:00PM ----------- Recommended Players 2-5 One quick note about Crossfire!!: With an afterburner, it will never take you more than 20 seconds to get anywhere in the level - so pick up those orbs fast! 8^)-~ Crossfire!! is divided into 3 different sections. The section with the green wall textures, I call the "Mushroom" because that's kinda what it looks like if you look at the map from above. The mushroom has a little river running thru it to cool off the reactor at the bottom. There are two little "secret tunnels" through the mushroom wall above and next to the river. It's kinda hard to explain, but when you're right next to the waterfall, try flying along the opposite wall, and you'll see what I mean. The other half of the level I call the "Metro" Area. The metro area is divided into two main parts, the basement and the "sig room" at the top of the big elevator. Off of the sig room there are two side tunnels that make for some interesting chases. The goals are off the Central section of Crossfire, and are behind locked doors. To open the doors, you must start in a central cube (that means if you look straight up or down, you see the fuel center cube) and fly towards the door you wish to open. Triggers surrounding the center column will open the door for you. This level has one Shaker and one Mega missle, placed under the waterfall. If you so wish, shoot the control panel hidden behind the missles and you can lock the missles in for the whole game. Or, if you would like to let them out, have someone wait at the top of the metro area by a locked door hidden in the side tunnel by the PPG wall. When the panel behind the missles is shot, that door will open, exposing another control panel. If you hit that panel before the door closes for good, it unlocks another hidden door in the tunnel on the other side of the room. Inside that door, you'll find the control panel that removes the wall in front of the big missles, and you're ready to rock. Anyway, as long as no one is waiting by the first locked door when you hit the panel behind the missles, you'll lock 'em in for good, because the door locks for good after it opens once. It takes two people cooperating to let the big missles loose. *************************************************************************************** Feel free to make any changes or additions to my levels that you think might be interesting, just remember to call it something else and send me a copy!
