Have fun... No COOP FiringRange is a Descent 3 singleplayer level designed for multiplayer training. It is a very scripted level which could be (if this will ever be possible :) a multiplayer trainee level. It should be this at least for beginners, the really 'hardcore killers' will possible laugh about, but it's not build for them :) The level layout is easy, this is because the AI is not good enough to fly in complicated structures with my given goal. This level can be a drug as I far as I can see it, it's changing the action 'always', the AI changes during the fight and the skill increases. You will start with 4 'players' and fight with max 8 'players' I say 'with', because it's real, all fight against all :) Your starting place will randomly change if u die, powerups will respawn randomly with correct respawn sound, and you'll fight against different ships with different weapons. Oh, and not to forget, 'Players' secondary weapons will be randomly and their count too. You will find near all types of players including newbies, heros, camper and berserkers. You'll see it could be fun to play this one. The start level is needed only one time, the first time, and all the next times starting FiringRange you can choose the main level directly. But you have the possibility to 'buy' some extra weapons here which are not included in the level otherwise. If you need the Quad, this is the only place to get it. Remember this. Theis level ends after 2 mins, or by hiting the switch 2 times. The main level briefing will show some features, please read it. You can choose 3 ships to play with, only the BP is missing. Once in the main level, you can fight as long as you will and increase your skill and or having just a lot of fun. Every time you start this level it will change it's life, a lot of randoms will make the gameplay different each time. Inside the main level you have the option to go into the Supply Room. There is one switch which will send you into this room. Here you can 'buy' some extra secondary weapons to learn how to use them i.e. Gunboy, BlackShark.. and more. But you can 'buy' only one of them every visit. You will find one more switch inside this room, it's locatated to the right, This is a 'oneway' switch !! It will increase the action so even better players will have a little fun :) Be aware, as I said, there is no way back here, you have to restart FiringRange to have normal modus again. -------------------- Known probs: All kills are counting for you Sometimes you respawn together with a 'robo_pyro' and you will hang, just use your missiles to come free or wait until you die. No MAC support :( Feel free to report other bugs. Some notes: This kind of level can never be finished, there are so much ideas to play with but I reached a point which seems good enough releasing the level now. It is no good idea to store a level during the game, this makes no sence because D3 can't handle custom textures of a loaded game and the scripting will not support loading too. And.. such a level NEVER can be a substitute for a real Multiplayer fight. Have fun...
